Steven Cade Donates a Guitar to the Milwaukee Women's Center

Andi Elliott Receives Donated Guitar from Steven Cade

Community Advocates' Milwaukee Women's Center gratefully welcomed country music singer/songwriter Steven Cade to Milwaukee yesterday. Bringing spiritual uplift and enduring melodies, Cade and the Giving Guitars Foundation left their Nashville mark on our community. Quite literally. As part of the foundation, Cade and his family have been traveling across the country performing original songs and donating guitars to shelters in each city. The Milwaukee Women's Center is the 108th shelter they've visited over the last few years and they have no plans to slow down.

Residents and staff alike were excited to spend the afternoon outside listening to Cade's music and messages of optimism. Each song Cade played contained lyrics intended to reach the hearts and souls of the women and children who clapped along from the crowd. Using music as a healing instrument for anyone in need of inspiration and hope, Cade encourages communities to Love Louder and inspires everyone to be a Big Picture Thinker.

Joy radiated the courtyard as Cade handed Community Advocates CEO Andi Elliott the brand-new guitar that is the Milwaukee Women's Center's to keep. Through the power of music, residents will be able to use the guitar to express themselves and connect with others. Cade hopes that residents will use the opportunity to learn the instrument and, in an effort to inspire, teach others how to play.

Community Advocates is thankful to the Cade family and their foundation for choosing the Milwaukee Women's Center to donate to and echoing our message that hardship can be overcome when you have the right support and resources. Giving Guitars Foundation truly embodied Community Advocates' spirit while in Milwaukee and we are honored to connect with foundations who believe in building a better tomorrow.
