Leaving a Positive Legacy
What kind of legacy do you want to leave in the world?
Plan a gift to Community Advocates or our Milwaukee Women's Center division, and you can help ensure a lasting safety net for our community’s most vulnerable individuals and families. You can ensure your legacy is one of compassion, generosity, and support for your neediest neighbors.
Even more than being able to create a positive legacy, planned giving often offers significant tax advantages and positive income consequences.
If you’re considering making Community Advocates or the Milwaukee Women's Center part of your bequest, please call us at 414-270-2944.
Bequests
One of the simplest ways to leave a charitable legacy is through a provision in your will. If you choose to name Community Advocates in your will or living trust, you can make a meaningful gift while maintaining control of your assets during life. With this method, your gift may be either a specific amount or a percentage of your estate.
Life Insurance or Retirement Plan
If you have a life insurance policy and/or retirement plan that are no longer needed as you originally planned, you may wish to change the beneficiary to Community Advocates or our Milwaukee Women's Center division.
Other Planned Giving Options
You have several other options for planning a legacy, often while earning tax benefits and/or income through your planned gifts. We recommend that you consult with your financial advisor to find which options are best for you.
