 port to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use pro
 blem and help connect them to the appropriate care.\n\nWhat the Mental Hea
 lth First Aid Course offers:\n• Common signs and symptoms of mental illnes
 s\n• Common signs and symptoms of substance use\n• How to interact with a 
 person in crisis\n• How to connect the person with help\n• Content on trau
 ma\, addiction\, and self-care\n\nThe course will teach you how to apply t

 judgmentally.\n• Give reassurance and information.\n• Encourage appropriat
