 ot receive a refund.</b>\n\nMental Health First Aid teaches you how to ide
 ntify\, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance us
 e disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and 
 provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health o
 r substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.\n\n
 What the Mental Health First Aid Course offers:\nâ€¢ Common signs and sympto
 ms of mental illness\nâ€¢ Common signs and symptoms of substance use\nâ€¢ How 
 to interact with a person in crisis\nâ€¢ How to connect the person with help
 \nânâ Content on trauma\, addiction\, and self-care\n\nThe course will teach
  you how to apply the ALGEE action plan:\nâ€¢ Assess for risk of suicide or 
 harm.\nâ€¢ Listen nonjudgmentally.\nâ€¢ Give reassurance and information.\nâ€¢ E
 ncourage appropriate professional help.\nâ€¢ Encourage self-help and other s
