 brating the powerful and positive impact women can have on each other and 
 the community around us. Founded in 2015\, FemFest celebrates the empowerm
 ent that comes with surrounding yourself with people who push you to push 
 yourself. FemFest celebrates through music\, visual arts\, poetry\, and co
 medy. FemFest not only celebrates the feminine impact within our own commu
 nity\, it aims to celebrate\, empower\, and provide platforms for those wh
 o have been historically left out of creative spaces. ​\n\nFemFest is also
  a fundraiser! All proceeds from FemFest go toward organizations within th
 e City of Milwaukee that aim to help and protect women and families. 2018 
 festival beneficiaries are Courage MKE\, Casa Maria\, and The Milwaukee Wo
 men's Center\, a division of Community Advocates that houses and supports 
 men\, women\, and children dealing with domestic violence\, mental health 
 issues\, and substance abuse.
