People With Urgent Needs

Community Advocates Milwaukee Wisconsin

Many times, when people come to us for help, they have reached rock bottom.  They may have lost their home.  They may be about to lose their home.  They may be sick.  They may have lost their job.  They may be struggling with an addiction.  We often meet people at the most difficult stages of their lives.

What does it mean that we help people meet their basic needs?

Basic needs are the ones that are most essential.  They are the things without which we cannot survive.

We do not waste time when folks walk through our doors with these urgent needs.  We help them move forward into a better life, without red tape or bureaucracy.  We help them to make a better future arrive now.

Meet Marty. He got to the point where he didn’t care about life or himself, because he felt like nobody cared. Unemployed because of a heart condition, he became behind in his rent payments and didn’t know where to turn.
