Volunteer
Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a positive impact in your community and in others' lives. Community Advocates has many volunteer opportunities available throughout the agency.
If you are over the age of 18, we encourage you to consider joining our growing team of volunteers.
Opportunities range from volunteering a few hours at one of the agency’s Special Events to a weekly commitment answering calls on the Milwaukee Women's Center (MWC) Crisis Line, spending time with the children at our MWC Emergency Shelter, or providing administrative support to the agency.
All volunteer applicants will be asked to do the following:
• Attend a general agency orientation
• Complete an application and sign a release of information form
• Provide two non-related references
• Complete an interview with the Manager of Volunteer Services
Most positions provide on-the-job training to equip volunteers with the skills and information necessary to perform specific assignments.
For more information or to enroll in the next orientation, please contact the Manager of Volunteer Services, Ruthie Lombardo, by phone (414) 270-2957 or by emailing here.
Thank you for your interest!
