Join us for a unique gallery event showcasing portraits of past Project Homeless Connect event guests.  Dialing a number next to many portraits allows viewers to listen to audio of guests describing how they became homeless.  View the guest portraits, listen to the stories, enjoy refreshments, and bid on items from local artists in our art auction.  This event offers a unique window into the homeless experience and an opportunity to make a difference.  You have two attendance options: Friday Sept. 21st or Saturday Sept, 22nd, both at Community Advocates.

Reducing Poverty in Wisconsin

Please join us for a briefing on an innovative set of proposals to cut the poverty rate by more than half, created by the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute and tested by the Urban Institute.  The Pathways to Ending Poverty Project is changing the way we think about poverty by creating and testing a specific "policy package" that, if implemented, would greatly reduce poverty in Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Musicians Band Together to Host Benefit for Milwaukee Women's Center

Thirteen Milwaukee musicians are banding together to raise money for the Milwaukee Women's Center (MWC) by playing two events. The $5 cover charge will be donated directly to the MWC, thanks to the generosity of the musicians and the venues.
